I am also a Director and Lead Dance Teacher at Firebird Theatre. Launched in January, 2022, for ages 9+, Firebird Theatre offers both technical and artistic aspects to each class:

The Artistic segments are performance and developmental based. Ideal for those wishing to learn dance for the pure joy of its artistry. They work towards stage work and follow Firebird Theatre’s own unique choreography. The Technical segments teach syllabus work in various disciplines.

LOUISE MARKHAM

BA(Hons), PGCE, QTS, RT (BBOdance)

I have studied dance for nearly thirty years, taking exams in a range of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, ballroom and Latin. Additionally, I have been a choreographer of local shows in Maldon for twelve years, teaching adults and juniors. Eight of these shows I wrote original scripts for.

In 2009 I was awarded my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I also hold a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and in 2022 became a Registered Teacher with BBOdance (RT). Being a Registered Teacher with BBOdance permits me to teach their syllabi and present pupils for Graded Examinations.
